We lucked out SO much with the weather on this photoshoot. The day before had been cold and incredibly overcast, and the day after was pouring rain. But the day of this shoot was absolutely beautiful; warm and sunny. It was the baby bear day (just right) of the week.

My niece and nephew (Ethan and Marlise) were born On October 7th. I finally got the opportunity to meet them for the first time last weekend, and they had their first "official" photo session. Here are a few of my favorites:

I spent the afternoon with Susie and her son, Michael. It didn't take too long for Michael to warm up to me (and the camera), and soon his antics were stealing the show. We started our session at The Lab in Costa Mesa, which is a really cool outdoor (anti) mall for the artsy types....

I got a chance to visit my niece in her class on Halloween and join in the festivities. My niece was totally adorable, choosing to dress as Batgirl this year. (Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see my other niece, who was dressed as Cleopatra.) My nephew was also there, dressed as Mickey Mouse.
